Welcome to Typenights - an anime and manga review blog.
This is my personal anime and manga review and summary blog. I hope to write down my thoughts on the various series, whether manga or anime, throughout the many upcoming seasons. I want to look back one day and to remember these days and the shows I have enjoyed or sometimes struggled to complete. Along the way I wish Typenights will grow as a blog and as a hub for the rest of the anime community to discuss their favorite or hated shows.
Where does Typenights come from?
Not really sure, I thought it sounded pretty cool for a blog name at the time. But if you must know, it comes from Redknights, a former Lineage 2 guild name. I then took off the “k” and thus we have rednights.net, the dot com was taken already, curses. I noticed I like the sound of “nights” in general so I put paired it up with the word type (ala blogging), thus the birth of Typenights.
How long have you been an anime fan?
It all started with the Scifi Channel, they were airing anime shows in the early 1990s. Then came English dubs of Dragon Ball Z years before it appeared on the Cartoon Network here in the States. Spring forward 10 years and I have pretty much caught up with most the of anime I ever wanted to watch. My favorite genre is romance comedy, therefore it’s not hard to believe my favorite anime of all time is Kare Kano (His and Her Circumstances), produced by Gainax, by the creator of of Evangelion.
Where do you get your anime/manga from?
Most if not all of the anime I review/summarize comes from fansubs. As far as how and where you can get these fansubs, is up to you.
