Ough, one of the worse Bleach episodes in a while.
Oh well no point dwelling on bad episodes. Chad got to perform his less than exciting “El Directo” attack. A very lackluster special move, I had been slightly interested in what it would look like since last week. They did end the last episode with him charging the damn thing up, so I expected some flashy animation coming out of that arm today and bodies exploding in my face. I got none of that, nothing but a … as it’s name implies … direct attack to the gut.
So with both opponents defeated, the entire area begins to crumble. Our three stooges manage to escape outside on time to a drab and monotone desert landscape of Hueco Mundo. With a mysterious palace in front of them, they set off to rescue Inoue. After running towards the palace for a period of time they begin to notice they haven’t been getting any closer at all.
Meanwhile inside the palace itself an Espada meeting has formed. Aizen informs the new group of the three intruders and tells the Espada to not underestimate the them. To the new guys and gal, Ichigo’s group looks nothing more than a bunch of kids.
Grimmjow tries to excuse himself from the meeting after seeing Ichigo running around as if nothing had happened when he fought him last time. He says he’s going to kill them now rather than wait but he soon learns his place as Aizen’s raw release of energy forces him to ground after not returning to his seat when he had been asked to.
Impressions – This was actually pretty damn bad. Crude animation (Aizen looked so out of whack) and useless scenes between Ichigo and Ishida babbling about god knows what. I don’t even have any words on how dumb those three hollows at the end looked.
