Having destroyed the world, Casshern will allow himself to be killed in order to save it.
Dio tells Casshern that he can stop Ruin and in order to do so he will take his life. Casshern seeing this as a way to repent for his sin of killing Luna and plunging the world into Ruin, agrees that it is for the best that he die, asking Dio to kill him.
Killing Casshern whether he wanted it or not, Dio begins his brutal assault on the passive Casshern whom takes an absolute beating. Blow after blow, Casshern takes a pounding. Even Friender at one moment tries to step in, but is merely pushed aside by Dio. When Dio prepares a severe aerial blow, Casshern kicks into battle mode and begins to retaliate against Dio. But Dio also begins to get serious himself and manages to fend off the attacks of Casshern, fighting toe to toe with him. Eventually Casshern snaps out of his battle trance and is wide open for a final attack by Dio.
As Dio lunges towards Casshern, Lyuze out of all people steps in and manages to land a quick blow on Dio with her blade, saving Casshern’s life. Severely injured (who would have guessed the weakest character did so much damage to Dio) a mysterious woman in similar attire to that of Casshern and Dio, steps in and picks Dio up and takes him away from the battle field.
Awakening from his battle and fully recovered, Ohji before departing with Ringo, tells Casshern that he heard Luna was immortal. Having killed an immortal, maybe Casshern’s immortality was a curse placed on him by Luna. Having learned of Luna’s immortality, Casshern journeys on to find her.
Impressions – Another great episode. Excellent fighting. Another crazy looking character comes into play, well at least she has big boobs? Anyways, all that Braiking Boss talk confused the hell out of me, so I’ll just let the show go more into depth about that later. That and Casshern’s original relationship to Dio.
Lyuze’s action was pretty weird, justifying it as a means of making sure she was the only one to kill Casshern. Oh well, at least we know she’ll get stronger, so more fights later on the better.
With many shots of Ohji during this episode as if he had something to hide, it seems he knows far more about the whole situation than one would expect.
