Yeah finally, some plot progression. The start of the show as usual revolves around Casshern at the moment he’s about to kill Luna. She asks him why he’s going to kill her. Casshern answers that she is getting in the way of the person he works for. She then questions him whether it is part of his will to kill her, to which Casshern says no.
Casshern is still in shock because he was unable to stop himself from massacring the entire village. Depressed and generally pissed at himself, he departs from the town, not however before he sees off Friender who is still watching over the rusting robot corpse of his former master.
It seems as though the show may be heading towards the familiar, but always entertaining question of whether a soul can reside within a robot.
