Naruto Shippuuden 29 – 30

Jesus, it’s finally over. Those dumb dumb dumb clones are gone and the story can actually proceed.

Summary

Clones are finally defeated, in the non-flashiest way possible. So someone tell me why they spent two freaking episodes on them. God I hate this show. With the clones out of the way, Team Gai heads out to help Kakashi and Naruto.

Anyways, back to Kakashi and his new Sharingan technique, looks like it allows him to form a devastating vortex that can suck anything surrounding it into another dimension. He manages to destroy Deidara’s last remaining arm, remember the other arm had been taken out by Gaara a while back. Kakashi still isn’t satisfied as he had missed and begins to try again, this time making sure the vortex consumes Deidara’s entire body and not just a part of it.

In a pinch as the vortex begins to appear right over his body, Deidara is saved as he arrives in a thick forest where he can avoid the vortex as the branches provide ample cover.

Thinking he has escaped near death from the killer vortex, Naruto comes out of nowhere with a Rasengan ready. The quick Deidara narrowly manages to dodge the blow and falls into the forest floor. With Deidara finally off the flying bird Naruto retrieves the lifeless Gaara.

After seeing his fallen comrade Naruto unleashes a relentless assault on a defenseless Deidara, as he is unable to form any seals since both arms are gone.

Naruto beats the living crap out of Deidara, fist soaked in blood. However when he thinks he has landed the killing blow, the corpse turns out to be a clay replacement. The real Deidara is off in the distance, hiding in the bushes watching the preceding events.

At this point Naruto goes berserk and the “Fox Cloak,” as it is dubbed, reappears once again. Kakashi tries to confront Naruto, telling him to calm down but he is quickly attacked. Kakashi had been warned by Jiraiya a while back that if he was ever to be a witness to the Fox Cloak, he has to stop Naruto immediately or he would not like what he would see if he lets the Fox chakra take control. Kakashi pulls out a seal given to him by Jiraiya and quickly places it on Naruto. The Fox chakra reseeds and Naruto is back to normal.

It is this time Deidara believes it is the most opportune time for his escape, but as he comes out of hiding, Team Gai is right there to stop him. Needless to say, he ends up blowing himself up right in front of the entire group. Kakashi saves the day as he places a vortex right in the center of the explosion, negating it completely.

In the end, Chiyo begins to use her ultimate technique on Gaara, the ability to resurrect at the cost of her own life.

Impressions – Fox Cloak Naruto came back! Too bad he lasted at least three minutes without accomplishing much of anything except make some pretty sweet punches. Damn you Kakashi, ruining my enjoyment. Still find it amusing a piece of paper with a bunch of scribbles actually managed to suppress the Fox chakra. Doesn’t make sense to me, but then again nothing in this show is making sense anymore. I think I’m happy for Gaara, since he’s a pretty cool dude since he doesn’t really whine like Naruto when he fights. Anyways, I’ll probably be expecting a whole bunch of crappy episodes once again.

  • It’s very sad at the end. Naruto always cries and says the saddest things.

damnit, i just cant believe it took them 26 episodes to atually end this crappy arc. i mean in manga it was awesome, but anime just had too much…fillers. and i already see the next episode is gonna be all Naruto’s whining again. have to wait another week for something new. and this episode was sslllow. Kakashi’s new technique looked dull, while it was SUPPOSED TO BE AWESOME AND BADASS. that’s what i felt in manga, like “whoa, Kakashi’s cool again”, but no, in anime they just had to ruin it all.

  • I should read the Naruto manga one of these days, but watching the anime, despite how crappy it is, is still enjoyable.
