Oh no, another week of Mirai bitchiness! When will this madness stop!
Oh well, at least there was some justification for her attitude. I mean, the writers couldn’t have thought of more blatant and overly scripted events to piss off Mirai (someone stepping on her foot, having hot ramen spilled on her leg, someone cutting her in line to go to the bathroom, and finally dropping her emergency bag). That and I could see how her overly positive brother could get on anyone’s nerves given the situation.
I’m not even going to mention the first half of the show where she’s holding it in for an eternity because she’s too embarrassed to go. However Yuuki’s mini demonstration on how to use a portable toilet was gold, fart sounds and all.
As for the rest of the episode, it’s sad to see the little trooper Yuuki finally cave to the situation at hand, no thanks to Mirai who spontaneously blamed him for their current situation for wanting to go to the robot exhibition, thus separated from their parents after the earthquake hit. Even though I do give Mirai a lot of crap for being emo all the time, she’s still a pretty half decent sister to Yuuki, as she was there to comfort him when he broke down in tears in regards to his parents. She’s actually worried for the little guy, as evident by every time they get separated in previous episodes.
The Tokyo Tower scene was to be expected, but I am glad the writers did not cave in to predictability in allowing Yuuki to be injured and leaving us with that as a cliff hanger. I’m happy he got away pretty much uninjured to continue on.
In regards to what I think about the show so far, I have been pretty impressed, especially compared to the atrocities of this season’s anime line-up (Endless Eight anyone?). That and it’s realistic story help it to branch out from the competition. Mari and Yuuki are also great characters. Who knows about Mirai, she’s alright, but realistic shows got to have some emo people I guess?

Yuuki trolled her good. Yes I think it would’ve been rather commonplace if the episode ended on a cliffhanger, but then again I’d eat it up still. Nonetheless, I’m glad it ended the way it did, as painful it was to watch Mirai be Mirai.
According to this anime, Japanese adults are really inconsiderate to children when in the face of danger
