The Yuuki is dead edition … with pictures! In light of all the theories about the situation with Yuuki, here are some subtle clues the show gives out.
You have to assume Yuuki is all in Mirai’s head at this point.
There is a picture of Yuuki’s death certificate that explains how he died. However the death certificate is during a dream. It’s a dream of what Mirai doesn’t want to happen, not a dream of reliving a traumatic event. When she wakes up from this dream, Yuuki has not yet undergone surgery, as you see the nurse ask Mirai about Yuuki’s medical history before they start.

well it’s really clear, and I hope the script writer won’t make it worse by suddenly make Yuuki is actually alive, and add some “reasonable” reason why Mari didn’t call/talk to Yuuki

Damn, that’s crazy … crazy freaky in a way and crazy the animators can’t keep consistent.
On another note, Mirai doesn’t touch Yuuki even once. They only talk the whole episode long.
And it’s true, episode 11 is named “to Yuuki” or “letter to Yuuki”, but one would have thought that he dies in the last two episodes and not as early as this.
At first I didn’t think Yuuki would die because he’s in the end credit picture stream.
Although then I noticed that he runs off out of one picture, and the next picture showing Mirai alone is then cropped to half width around her…
Although this theory is blown all to hell by the last picture which has the three of them again…
Oh, but I do think Yuuki is definitely dead, from all the other cues.
Saw EP9 RAW, he has to ask Mirai to tell something to Mari.
